In LM Roller type LR-Z, the dual rollers are assembled on the exterior of the
raceway base, are precision-ground and highly rigid, and are held in line by the
retainer so that they ensure perpetual circulation. The center guide, which is
formed into one unit with the raceway base, is provided in the center of the
loaded area of the raceway base. This unique design of the center guide
continually corrects the skew (tilt) of rollers, thereby ensuring smooth rolling
motion.
LM Roller type LR can be applied to the XYZ guides of various NC machine
tools, precision press ram guides, press die changers, and various heavy
material conveyance systems, to name just a few.

For installation, fit a unit into a groove machined
into a mounting surface.
Fasten the LM Roller thereto by inserting the mounting bolts into the
four holes
drilled into the raceway base. This type is suitable where the machine in which
the Roller is to be used does not have sufficient thickness (Fixtures SM and SE
can be used).
As the retainer is made by resin molding, seals are easily adhered to it.
Seals are made of highly wear-resistant special rubber and have a double-lip
shape, providing them with high contamination protection performance. The resin
retainer also contributes to a reduction in weight. |
The mounting method is the same as for type LR-Z, i.e., fitting a unit into a
groove. For this type, Fixtures SM and SEM are used to allow thick bolts to be
firmly tightened. This type is compact in size.
The retainer is made by resin molding and is provided with seal-fitting
grooves, making seals easy to install. Seals are made of highly wear-resistant
special rubber and have a double-lip shape, providing them with high
contamination protection performance. The resin retainer also contributes to a
reduction in weight. |

As no groove is needed on the mounting surface, the required machining man-hours
can be reduced. For installation, Fixtures SMB and SEB are used, enabling the
Roller to be solidly fastened in place.

Fixture Types SM/SMB, SE/SEB

|
Simply by attaching a Spring Pad to the rear of the LM Roller, assembling them
as shown in Fig. 4 a) and tightening
the adjustment bolt, the clearance and preload can be adjusted. Adjustment is
that easy. |
Use of Fixture SM or SE eliminates the need to tap LM Roller mounting holes. In
this way, the Roller can be secured more solidly.
Types SE and SEB are provided with a special synthetic rubber wiper with a
double-lip shape. A high contamination protection effect is therefore assured.
